Rankscale review: what “all engines” really costs on a credit plan
Rankscale review: Pro costs $99 with 1,200 credits. How fast Claude and daily tracking use them up, and which teams the credit model suits best.

Managing Director at Alexandrya.AI

Rankscale is an AI visibility tool from Rankscale GmbH in Vienna that offers more than 17 AI engines on every plan and bills through credits. Pro costs $99 a month and includes 1,200 credits. Measured daily, that covers 40 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, or 13 once you add Claude. Rankscale is cheap for weekly monitoring across many engines and expensive for daily tracking of many prompts.
A note before we start: Alexandrya.AI is our own product, and we do not use Rankscale ourselves. This review is based on Rankscale’s publicly documented pricing, features and help articles, accessed on 26 October 2026, plus our own measurement data from Alexandrya.AI. You can reproduce every credit calculation here with the calculator on Rankscale’s pricing page.
Rankscale pricing and credits in October 2026
Rankscale charges $99 a month for Pro with 1,200 credits, $229 for Pro+ with 3,000 credits, $385 for Growth with 5,500 credits and $780 for Enterprise with 12,000 credits. Annual billing takes 15% off. The entry plan, Essentials, comes with 120 credits and is sold on annual billing only at $17 a month. Visitors from Germany see the same figures in euros on Rankscale’s pricing page (accessed 26 October 2026).
| Plan | Monthly billing | Per month on annual billing | Credits per month | Answers per month (maximum) | Brand dashboards | Page audits per month | Unused credit rollover |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | annual only (list price $20) | $17 | 120 | 480 | 2 | 10 | no |
| Pro | $99 | $84 | 1,200 | 4,800 | 10 | 50 | up to 2x |
| Pro+ | $229 | $195 | 3,000 | 12,000 | 25 | 100 | up to 2x |
| Growth | $385 | $327 | 5,500 | 22,000 | 50 | 200 | up to 3x |
| Enterprise | $780 | $663 | 12,000 | 48,000 | 100 | 200 | up to 3x |
| Custom | on request | on request | custom | custom | custom | custom | custom |
Look twice at the answers column. Rankscale calculates it at the lowest rate of 0.25 credits per answer. Add more expensive engines and the number of answers falls while the price stays where it is.

You can try Pro free for seven days, with a limited credit allowance according to the FAQ. The trial only becomes a paid subscription if you carry on, and you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the billing period.
How do Rankscale credits work?
A credit is Rankscale’s unit for each individual query: every time a prompt goes to an AI engine, Rankscale deducts a fraction of a credit. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode cost 0.25 credits per run, DeepSeek costs 1 credit and Claude costs 2. Your monthly usage is prompts multiplied by credits per engine multiplied by runs per month.
The calculator on the pricing page counts 30 runs a month for daily tracking, 4.33 for weekly and one for monthly. Its default example is 50 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode, checked weekly: 50 x 0.75 x 4.33 = 162.5 credits a month.
The help article “Understanding Credits and Usage” (accessed 26 October 2026) adds rules that matter for budgeting:
- Failed runs cost nothing, and manual runs cost the same as scheduled ones.
- You can create unlimited search terms, and only active ones use credits.
- Plan credits are used first. Bonus credits you buy do not expire while the subscription runs. Rankscale does not publish a top-up price.
- Each prompt research run costs 50 credits.
- When credits run out, scheduled monitoring pauses until they renew or you top up. Dashboards and history stay visible.
Rankscale does not list credit rates for Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot or API variants such as Perplexity Sonar or GPT-5.6 Terra on its pricing page. According to the help article, the app shows them on the overview page behind an info icon. If you plan to track those engines, you can only estimate usage before your trial.
What “all engines on every plan” means for your credit budget
On Rankscale, “all engines on every plan” means every one of the 17+ engines is unlocked on every plan, but each run draws credits from the same monthly budget. More engines and a higher tracking frequency share the same 1,200 credits on Pro. One query to Claude costs as much as eight queries to ChatGPT, and daily tracking uses almost seven times as many credits as weekly.
How many prompts the Pro budget covers therefore depends on two levers. The table works them through with the rates from the pricing page, rounded down to whole prompts.
| Engine selection | Credits per prompt per run | Prompts tracked daily | Prompts tracked weekly | Prompts tracked monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT only | 0.25 | 160 | 1,108 | 4,800 |
| ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode | 1 | 40 | 277 | 1,200 |
| those four plus DeepSeek | 2 | 20 | 138 | 600 |
| those four plus Claude | 3 | 13 | 92 | 400 |
| those four plus Claude and DeepSeek | 4 | 10 | 69 | 300 |
With daily tracking, the first and last rows are a factor of 16 apart. If a sales rep tells you all engines are included, ask how many prompts you can then track every day.

With Claude as a fifth engine, Rankscale Pro covers 13 prompts tracked daily. Source: Rankscale pricing page, 26 October 2026.
The second calculation turns the question around. Say you want to track 50 prompts every day: after how many days are Pro’s 1,200 credits gone, and which plan covers the full month?
| Engine selection, 50 prompts daily | Usage per day | Usage over 30 days | Pro credits last | Smallest plan for the full month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT only | 12.5 credits | 375 credits | the whole month | Pro, $99 |
| ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode | 50 credits | 1,500 credits | 24 days | Pro+, $229 |
| those four plus DeepSeek | 100 credits | 3,000 credits | 12 days | Pro+, $229 (budget used in full) |
| those four plus Claude | 150 credits | 4,500 credits | 8 days | Growth, $385 |
| those four plus Claude and DeepSeek | 200 credits | 6,000 credits | 6 days | Enterprise, $780 |
Without a top-up, monitoring in the last three rows stops after one to two weeks. Rollover only helps if credits were left over in earlier months, and Pro caps it at twice the monthly allowance. If you track daily with Rankscale, choose your plan from your engine mix, not from the list price.
Weekly tracking saves credits and misses mentions
Weekly tracking saves Rankscale credits but misses fluctuations. In our own Alexandrya.AI measurement of 38 tracked prompts, run daily from 27 September to 26 October 2026, the brand Alexandrya.AI appeared in at least one answer on 6 of 30 days. Had we measured only on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays, we would have recorded no mention at all in that period.
A weekly check on Mondays would have caught two of the six days, on Sundays also two, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays one each. For a brand with low baseline visibility, as in this project, that is normal: mentions come and go from day to day, and a fixed weekday turns the result into a lottery. Brands that appear in almost every answer will see a smaller gap.
The same project produced 5,052 answers over those 30 days from ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot and, for part of the period, Perplexity. Even at 0.25 credits per answer on Rankscale, that comes to 1,263 credits, more than the 1,200 on Pro. This setup would have needed at least Pro+ at $229.
Which features does Rankscale offer?
According to its homepage and pricing page, Rankscale covers source analysis and several technical reports on top of prompt tracking. What you get depends on the plan (as of 26 October 2026):
- On every plan: visibility tracking, competitor benchmarking, citation and sources box analysis, query fan-out (the internal searches an engine runs while answering), ChatGPT follow-up forms, prompt research, recommendations through “Rankscale Scout”, MCP, notifications and shareable dashboard links.
- From Pro: sentiment analysis, custom dashboards, local results, shopping and ad analytics in ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Copilot, “AI Visits” through a read-only Cloudflare connection, team workspaces with unlimited seats, CSV and Google Sheets export, and a Data Studio integration.
- From Pro+: full REST API access. For Growth and Enterprise the comparison table lists the API as “Metrics + Share Links”, plus white-labelled dashboard links.
- Page audits with a monthly allowance per plan, which according to the homepage check AI bot crawlability and technical SEO signals.
- In beta on the homepage: prioritised recommendations and connections to GA4 and Search Console.

Where Rankscale is strong
Rankscale is strong if you want to watch many AI engines without paying a surcharge for each one. Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot and Meta Muse Spark are available on every plan, and tracking intervals run from hourly to monthly. For weekly market monitoring the numbers work: 150 prompts on four standard engines use around 650 credits a month and fit into Pro at $99.
Its second strength is analytical depth. Query fan-out shows which searches an engine runs before it answers, the ChatGPT follow-up report shows which clarifying questions come before a brand recommendation, and shopping and ad analytics cover product cards and sponsored placements. On the Growth plan, agencies get 50 brand dashboards, white-labelled links and access to the agency partner programme.
Where Rankscale reaches its limits
The biggest limit is predictability. What a month costs depends on your engine mix and frequency, and for some engines the rates are not on the public pricing page. In detail:
- Daily tracking on Pro covers only 40 prompts on the four cheapest engines.
- There is no public price for extra credits.
- Essentials is annual only and includes no sentiment analysis, exports or team workspaces.
- Full REST API access starts with Pro+ at $229.
- Recommendations are partly in beta. Neither the homepage nor the pricing page describes how a recommendation becomes a task with a status and an owner in your team.
Rankscale reviews from users
User reviews of Rankscale are mainly found on OMR Reviews, where the tool holds 4.6 out of 5 stars from 27 reviews (as of 29 October 2026). Reviewers praise the number of models it can track, prompt-level detail, competitor analysis and the support team. Criticism centres on the credit model, which hits its limits quickly on the smallest plan, and on client reporting.
Two reviews take issue with reporting: one found no way to export the results as a clean overview list, the other says reporting for end clients is still largely manual. Another reviewer, by contrast, praises the extensive data export. These are individual views from agencies, consultants and in-house teams, not a hands-on test of our own.
Who is Rankscale for?
Rankscale suits teams that value engine coverage and analytical depth more than a fixed monthly price for daily tracking:
- Agencies with many brands that report weekly or monthly and need white-labelled links.
- Teams that specifically want to track Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral or Meta Muse Spark.
- SEO teams that want query fan-out, page audits and AI crawler visits in one tool.
- Online shops that monitor shopping cards and ads in ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Copilot.
Rankscale is a weaker fit if you need 100 or more prompts tracked daily on five engines and have to budget a fixed monthly amount for it.
When does Rankscale fit better, and when Alexandrya.AI?
Alexandrya.AI is an AI visibility tool from Munich that measures brand mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Bing Copilot and turns them into content and citation tasks. It bills through a fixed prompt quota: every prompt runs daily on all selected models at no extra cost. You can see the plans on the Alexandrya.AI pricing page. Alexandrya.AI prices are in euros, Rankscale’s in dollars or euros depending on where you visit from, and we have not converted between them.

|---|---|---|
| Billing | credits per engine and run | fixed prompt quota, daily tracking included |

| Tracking frequency | hourly to monthly | daily, daily or weekly on Enterprise |
| Users | unlimited from Pro | unlimited on every plan |
| MCP | every plan | from Professional, read only |
| API | full from Pro+ | Enterprise |
| Looker Studio / Data Studio | from Pro | from Business |

|---|---|---|---|
| 50 prompts, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, daily | 1,125 | Pro, $99 | Starter, €79 |

| 350 prompts, four standard engines, daily | 10,500 | Enterprise, $780 | Business, €399 |

Rankscale only comes out cheaper with weekly tracking. Source: both providers’ pricing pages, 26 October 2026.
The calculation tips at exactly one point. If you track weekly and need many prompts, Rankscale is cheaper. Once you track daily or add Claude, the fixed quota of Alexandrya.AI costs less, by more than a factor of three in the setup with 150 prompts and Claude.
Alexandrya.AI has its own limits, and for some teams they decide the matter. It offers no shopping or SKU tracking, no ad analytics, no analysis of AI crawler visits, no alerts, no Slack connection, no DeepSeek or Mistral and no hourly tracking. API access is reserved for Enterprise. If you need any of these, Rankscale is the better choice. Alexandrya.AI focuses on the step after measurement: the action plan derives content briefs, outreach targets and quick wins from source and competitor data, and each recommendation becomes a task with a status on the task board.
