The right Promptwatch alternative depends on why you are leaving. For a cheaper start, Otterly.AI begins at €29 a month. For more prompts, SE Visible gives you 200 for $99. Peec AI and Alexandrya.AI include unlimited users, Alexandrya.AI turns findings into tasks instead of agent-written articles, Rankscale lets you pick models and frequency, and Profound covers enterprise compliance. All prices as of 26 October 2026.

Alexandrya.AI is our own product. We used Peec AI for six months as paying customers and have not used the other tools ourselves. This overview is based on publicly documented features and prices, taken from each vendor's site on 26 October 2026. If you want the tool itself examined in detail, read our full Promptwatch review. This article is about where to go next, and why.

How much does Promptwatch cost, and what do the plans include?

Promptwatch costs $95 (or €85) a month on the Essential plan for one project, 50 prompts, 6,000 responses and one user seat. Professional is $245 (€205) with 150 prompts and two seats, Business $579 (€499) with 350 prompts and five seats. Every plan lists 14 AI models plus MCP and API access, according to the Promptwatch pricing page on 26 October 2026.

Two rows stand out. Seats only grow from one to five, and the content agents start at Professional. Agencies get separate plans from €170 a month (Kick-off) with unlimited projects and prompts, capped at 10,000, 25,000 or 65,000 responses a month.

Older comparisons, including our September roundup of Peec AI alternatives, describe Promptwatch as tracking four models per plan and billing in US dollars. On 26 October 2026 the pricing page says “Track all models” on every plan and offers a dollar and euro switch. If your shortlist rests on an older article, open the pricing page yourself before you decide.

Why do teams switch from Promptwatch?

Four Promptwatch limits can be checked directly on its pricing page as of 26 October 2026. Entry costs $95 with a single user seat. The response budget works out at four queries per prompt per day, although 14 models are listed. Content agents only arrive at $245. And the Business plan cannot be trialled on your own, since it starts with a sales demo.

Every extra user pushes the price up

Promptwatch Essential costs $95 a month, which is $1.90 per prompt. Alexandrya.AI Starter costs €79 for the same 50 prompts, Otterly.AI Lite €29 for 15. The bigger gap comes from seats. A team of three only fits on Promptwatch Business at $579, because Professional includes two seats and the pricing page shows no option to add more. Peec AI, Otterly.AI, SE Visible and Alexandrya.AI include unlimited users on every plan.

6,000 responses means four queries per prompt per day

Promptwatch caps responses per month as well as prompts. Essential gives you 6,000 responses for 50 prompts. With daily tracking over 30 days, that works out at four responses per prompt per day. Querying all 14 listed models every day would take 21,000 responses a month, three and a half times the budget. The pricing page does not say how Promptwatch spreads the budget across models.

Professional (18,000 responses for 150 prompts) and Business (42,000 for 350) keep exactly the same ratio. A bigger Promptwatch plan buys you more prompts, not denser coverage per prompt. For comparison, Peec AI states 4,500 answers on Starter, three per prompt per day, while SE Visible Basic quotes around 30,000 answers for 200 prompts, which is five.

Peec AI Starter4,500503
Alexandrya.AI Starternot stated, 3 models daily503

The calculation divides monthly responses by prompts and 30 days. Where a vendor gives no response figure, the number of models queried daily is shown instead.

The model list is long, daily coverage is not

With 14 listed models, including Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral, Meta Llama and Amazon Alexa, Promptwatch has the second-longest model list here after Rankscale (17+ engines). So models are only a reason to switch in one direction: when you need five or more models on every prompt, every day. Alexandrya.AI Professional covers that with five models queried daily, and Rankscale lets you set models and frequency yourself through credits.

Content agents start at Professional

Promptwatch writes content through its content agents. Professional includes five articles and five content refreshes a month, Business ten of each, Essential none. If your team has no writers, that is a point in Promptwatch's favour. If you already have an editorial team or agency, you pay for articles you will rewrite anyway, and what you need more is a task list with owners: which source to pitch, which page to update, what is done.

Which Promptwatch alternative fits which reason to switch?

Each reason to switch has an alternative that is stronger than Promptwatch at exactly that point. Otterly.AI is cheaper to start, SE Visible gives you more prompts per dollar, Peec AI and Alexandrya.AI include unlimited users, Rankscale lets you choose models and frequency freely, and Profound covers enterprise requirements with SOC 2. Each of them gives up something Promptwatch offers.

SE Visible leads on price per prompt at $0.50, against $1.90 at Promptwatch. Rankscale and Promptwatch lead on model range. None of the alternatives wins every column.

Otterly.AI as the cheapest fixed entry point

Otterly.AI costs €29 a month on its Lite plan, the cheapest fixed entry in this comparison. It includes 15 prompts, daily tracking of ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, and unlimited team members. On Lite, Google AI Mode and Gemini cost €9 each and Claude €29 a month extra, according to the Otterly.AI pricing page on 26 October 2026.

The catch is volume. Fifteen prompts cover a brand with one core topic. The next plan, Standard, costs €189 for 100 prompts and is where API and MCP access begin, and Lite gives you three recommendations a week. More tools at this price level are in our guide to AI visibility tools under €100.

SE Visible for the most prompts per dollar

SE Visible is the standalone AI visibility product from SE Ranking. The Basic plan costs $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, and includes 200 prompts, around 30,000 analysed answers a month, three projects and unlimited users. That is $0.50 per prompt, roughly a quarter of what Promptwatch charges in dollars. Prices as of 26 October 2026, from the SE Visible homepage.

SE Visible tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Claude are missing. Supported markets are the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, and the trial runs for ten days. In Alexandrya.AI's own measurement (as of 21 October 2026, 38 tracked prompts), seranking.com was among the most cited domains, with 2,416 citations at an average position of 4.32. That shows how far SE Ranking's content reaches into AI answers. It tells you nothing about the measurement quality of SE Visible.

Peec AI when the whole team needs access

Peec AI costs €85 a month on Starter, the same as Promptwatch Essential in euros, and includes 50 prompts, three of six selectable models, daily tracking and unlimited users. Pro costs €205 for 150 prompts, Advanced €425 for 350 prompts with multi-country tracking and Looker Studio. Each extra model costs €25, €55 or €115 a month depending on the plan, according to the Peec AI pricing page on 26 October 2026.

Peec AI is open about its answer count: 4,500 on Starter, one query per prompt per day fewer than Promptwatch. In return, its feature list includes SKU-level tracking, a crawlability audit, AI referrals and log connections to CDNs such as Cloudflare and Vercel. API access is reserved for Enterprise. Peec fits when marketing, SEO and leadership all need to look at the same data and three models are enough.

Rankscale for every engine on your own schedule

Rankscale, from Rankscale GmbH, bills through credits. Pro costs €99 a month for 1,200 credits, which the pricing page says cover up to 4,800 answers. Every plan includes 17+ AI engines, unlimited search terms, all regions and a schedule anywhere from hourly to monthly. Essentials costs €17 a month on annual billing, with 120 credits for up to 480 answers, according to the Rankscale pricing page on 26 October 2026.

Credits only make costs predictable once your team fixes the schedule and the model mix. Tracking 50 prompts daily across four engines takes 6,000 answers a month, more than Pro provides. The REST API starts on Pro+ at €229.

Alexandrya.AI when tasks matter more than agent-written articles

Alexandrya.AI is an AI visibility tool from Munich that measures brand mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Bing Copilot and turns them into content and citation tasks. Its action plan groups content briefs, outreach targets and quick wins. Each recommendation becomes a task on a board with Open, In Progress and Done columns, and your team writes the copy.

Starter costs €79 a month with 50 prompts, three selectable models and one country. Professional is €199 with 150 prompts, five models, three countries and MCP, Business €399 with 350 prompts, multi-country tracking and Looker Studio. Every plan has unlimited users and daily tracking, the trial runs for seven days without a credit card, and annual billing saves 15%, see Alexandrya.AI pricing. Available platforms are ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Meta AI and Grok. On paper, Professional with five models tracked daily produces 22,500 answers a month, against 18,000 on Promptwatch Professional.

The limits: Alexandrya.AI does not write articles, does not track products at SKU level, does not analyse crawler logs and has no alerts or Slack integration. MCP is available from Professional and is read only, and the API is Enterprise only. If you need API access on an entry plan, Promptwatch suits you better. Which tools offer API and MCP on which plan is covered in our comparison of AI visibility tools with API and MCP.

Profound when procurement and IT security have a say

On 26 October 2026, Profound offers brands two routes: a free trial with 50 prompts over seven days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and an Enterprise plan at a custom price. Enterprise covers up to nine answer engines, API, SSO/SAML and SOC 2 compliance, according to the Profound pricing page. The page shows no self-serve plan with a list price for brands.

Profound suits large companies whose procurement team asks for a SOC 2 report and SSO. If price is your reason for leaving Promptwatch, this is the wrong direction.

When is Promptwatch the better choice?

Promptwatch remains the better choice if you need MCP and API on the entry plan, want content agents to write articles for you, or are looking for crawler logs, shopping insights and city-level tracking in one tool. None of the six alternatives combines MCP, API, 14 models and content agents in a self-serve plan from $245. According to its own FAQ, Promptwatch collects data from the models' user interfaces.

On top of that, every plan connects to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and Slack. If you want content-agent articles to go straight into your CMS, Promptwatch gives you the agent and the CMS connection in one place.

How do you switch from Promptwatch without losing your history?

The main cost of switching is comparability. You can only put two tools' numbers side by side if prompts, language, country and competitors are identical. A switch with a parallel phase looks like this:

  1. Save your prompt list, competitors and last month's figures from Promptwatch, for example through the API that every plan includes.
  2. Pick 20 to 50 prompts with buying intent and set them up in the alternative with the same language and country.
  3. Run both tools side by side for at least seven days. Alexandrya.AI, Promptwatch and Profound offer seven-day trials, SE Visible ten.
  4. Compare model by model: is the brand mentioned, is it cited, which sources appear in the answer? Single days fluctuate, so look at the trend across the week.
  5. If you pay annually, check when your Promptwatch subscription ends and plan the switch for that date.

What stays open with any switch is method. Promptwatch says it reads the models' interfaces, SE Visible says it collects answers through a browser, and other vendors describe their collection in less detail. Two tools can therefore show different rates for the same prompt. The sources both tools find are a more reliable signal than the rate itself.
