AI visibility tools under €100: what you actually pay per answer
AI visibility tools under €100 compared by cost per AI answer, from 0.9 to 13 cents, with the formula and the traps of engines, frequency and countries.

Managing Director at Alexandrya.AI

Under €100 a month buys you an AI visibility tool that analyses roughly 1,800 to just over 10,000 AI answers a month. The only fair way to compare plans is cost per answer: monthly price divided by prompts times engines times checks. In October 2026, most entry plans land between 0.9 and 2.2 cents per answer. Countries, engines and check frequency decide where a small budget runs out.
A note on where we stand: Alexandrya.AI is our own product, and before building it we paid for and used Peec AI for six months. We assess every other tool from publicly documented prices and features, without a hands-on test. All prices come from the vendors' own pages, checked on 26 October 2026, excluding VAT and on monthly billing. If you want features and team fit across 14 tools, read our guide to Peec AI alternatives. This piece only looks at budget.
What does cost per answer mean for AI visibility tools?
Cost per answer is the monthly price of an AI visibility tool divided by the number of AI answers it retrieves and analyses in that month. The number of answers is prompts multiplied by active engines multiplied by checks per month. A plan with 50 prompts on three engines, checked daily, produces 4,500 answers. At €79 a month, each answer costs 1.76 cents.
Peec AI uses the same arithmetic on its pricing page: "AI answers" are tracked prompts multiplied by active models and tracking frequency, with the example 25 prompts × 3 models × 30 days = 2,250 answers (Peec AI, pricing page, accessed 26 October 2026). ZipTie goes further and quotes about one US cent per prompt, engine and check (ZipTie, pricing page, accessed 26 October 2026).
List prices mislead. Otterly.AI Lite costs €29 and Peec AI Starter €85, almost three times as much. Per answer they sit close together, at 1.61 and 1.89 cents. The formula measures volume and says nothing about quality, so each tool profile below also states what you get beyond the answers. For the basics of what is being measured, see what is AI visibility?
To check any plan yourself:
- Note the prompts in the plan. For credit-based tools, use the number of answers the vendor states.
- Multiply by the number of engines active at the same time, and add paid extra engines to the price.
- Multiply by checks per month: 30 for daily, 4.33 for weekly. Every table in this article uses these values.
- Divide the monthly price by the result.
- Count the prompts again for every additional country.
Which AI visibility tools cost under €100 a month?
In October 2026, the entry plans of Otterly.AI (€29), HubSpot AEO (€49), Alexandrya.AI (€79), LLMrefs (€79), Peec AI (€85), Promptwatch (€85) and Rankscale (€99) all sit under €100 a month. ZipTie, with a fully configurable plan from about $25, and the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit at $99 join them. Per answer, the range runs from 0.87 to 13.2 US cents, with euro plans between 1.42 and 3.65 cents.
| Tool and plan | Price per month | Prompts | Engines | Checks | Answers per month | Cost per answer |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZipTie, 50 prompts, 7 engines | $91.50 | 50 | 7 | daily | 10,500 | 0.87 US cents |
| ZipTie, 50 prompts, 3 engines | $42.75 | 50 | 3 of 7 | daily | 4,500 | 0.95 US cents |
| Promptwatch Essential | €85 | 50 | all, capped at 6,000 answers | daily | 6,000 | 1.42 cents |
| Otterly.AI Lite | €29 | 15 | 4 | daily | 1,800 | 1.61 cents |
| Alexandrya.AI Starter | €79 | 50 | 3 of your choice | daily | 4,500 | 1.76 cents |

| LLMrefs All in One | €79 | 500 | all, per run not documented | weekly | 2,167 prompt runs | 3.65 cents per prompt run |
| Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit | $99 | 25 | 1 per campaign | daily | 750 | 13.2 US cents |
Prices and allowances from the vendors' pricing pages, checked 26 October 2026, excluding VAT, monthly billing. Answers per month and cost per answer are our own calculation with 30 check days. US dollar prices are not converted.
In euros, Promptwatch Essential is cheapest at 1.42 cents per answer; across currencies, ZipTie comes in under one US cent. Semrush falls outside the pattern because the toolkit earns its price through its research database and tracks only 25 prompts itself. Converting the dollar prices would not change the order, as both dollar tools sit at either end of the table.

Cost per answer of euro entry plans with daily checks: Promptwatch 1.42 cents, Otterly.AI 1.61, Alexandrya.AI 1.76, Peec AI 1.89, Rankscale 2.06, HubSpot AEO 2.18. Source: vendor pricing pages, checked 26 October 2026, own calculation.
The tools one by one, sorted by price
Otterly.AI Lite at €29
Otterly.AI Lite costs €29 a month and tracks 15 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, which makes 1,800 answers. Users, countries and languages are unlimited. Gemini and Google AI Mode cost €9 each on top, Claude €29. The limit is the allowance, as extra prompts are only sold from the Standard plan at €189. Otterly.AI suits solo marketers who want a first reading for one brand.

HubSpot AEO at €49
HubSpot AEO costs €49 a month as a standalone tool on HubSpot's German product page, or $50 on the US page, and tracks 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. HubSpot says the score updates daily, which works out at 2,250 answers (HubSpot, AEO product page, accessed 26 October 2026). HubSpot users see visibility next to their campaigns. You can buy more prompts, but HubSpot does not publish that price, and each extra brand needs its own instance.
ZipTie from about $25
ZipTie has no fixed plans. You build your own from prompts, frequency and engines; all seven engines cost the same, and seats and projects are free. Fifty daily prompts cost $42.75 on three engines and $91.50 on all seven, the lowest price per answer in this comparison. The limits are billing in US dollars only, $10 extra for API and MCP access, and targeting that stops at country level. ZipTie suits teams happy to build their own setup.

Alexandrya.AI Starter at €79
Alexandrya.AI is an AI visibility tool from Munich that measures brand mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Bing Copilot and turns them into content and citation tasks. The Starter plan costs €79 a month for 50 prompts, three models of your choice, daily tracking, one country and unlimited users, or 1.76 cents per answer (Alexandrya.AI pricing).
Its strength comes after the measurement: Alexandrya.AI builds an action plan with content briefs, outreach targets and quick wins, which your team works through as tasks marked Open, In Progress and Done. The Starter limits are just as clear: one country, MCP only from Professional, an API only on Enterprise, no alerts, no Slack connection and no tracking at SKU level. Alexandrya.AI suits teams in one market who want to know what to do next once the numbers are in.
LLMrefs at €79
LLMrefs costs €79 a month, labelled as a limited-time price, and tracks 500 prompts across every supported engine from ChatGPT to Meta AI in more than 50 countries. The catch is frequency, because reports refresh weekly. That works out at 2,167 prompt runs a month, or 3.65 cents per run. The pricing page does not say whether each run queries every engine. LLMrefs suits SEO teams who watch many topics in many countries and can live with weekly figures.
Peec AI Starter at €85
Peec AI Starter costs €85 a month for 50 prompts, three models active at once, daily tracking and unlimited users. A fourth model costs €25 a month on Starter with annual billing. From six months of our own use, we know Peec AI as a dependable measurement tool with source and sentiment data. It suits teams looking for an established tool with daily data in one market.
Promptwatch Essential at €85
Promptwatch Essential costs €85 a month with 50 prompts, one project, country-level tracking, and MCP and API access. Instead of a model limit, Promptwatch sets an allowance of 6,000 answers a month, which works out at four engines per prompt per day. At 1.42 cents, that is the lowest euro figure here. Content writing only starts on the Professional plan at €205. Promptwatch suits teams who want to pull data straight into their own systems.

Rankscale Pro at €99
Rankscale Pro costs €99 a month and includes 1,200 credits. According to the pricing page, a query typically costs 0.25 credits per engine and prompt, which gives up to 4,800 answers, or about 40 prompts on four engines checked daily. You set engines and frequency yourself, from hourly to monthly. The smaller Essentials plan is only sold annually, at €17 a month for 480 answers, or 3.54 cents each. Rankscale suits teams who want to set frequency topic by topic.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit at $99
Semrush sells the AI Visibility Toolkit for $99 a month, with 25 prompts in Prompt Tracking, updated daily, and one engine per campaign: ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode or Gemini (Semrush, Knowledge Base, accessed 26 October 2026). At 13.2 US cents, that is the highest cost per answer here. Another 50 prompts cost $60, each extra user needs a separate licence, and Semrush offers no free trial for the toolkit.
Just over the line, or without prompt numbers
SE Ranking Core costs €109 a month, or €87.20 with annual billing, and includes 100 daily tracked prompts alongside its SEO suite. Knowatoa starts at $59 but publishes no prompt allowance, so no cost per answer can be worked out. AthenaHQ offers a free start with 300 credits, one credit per answer, and then $295. Below €100, Profound only offers a seven-day free trial with 50 prompts.
Where is the catch with cheap AI visibility tools?
The catch with cheap AI visibility tools sits in three settings the list price hides: engines, check frequency and countries. An entry plan with three engines, daily checks and one country covers one market. Once your team needs a fourth model, a second country or more than 50 prompts, the price jumps to the next tier, from €79 to €199 at Alexandrya.AI and from €85 to €205 at Peec AI.
What does a fourth model cost?
Fixed entry plans cap the engines: four on Otterly.AI Lite, three on Alexandrya.AI and Peec AI. On Otterly.AI, Gemini and Google AI Mode add €9 each, so €47 buys 15 prompts on six engines, 2,700 answers and 1.74 cents per answer, barely more than before. Claude costs €29 there for 450 extra answers, which is 6.44 cents per Claude answer. At Peec AI, a fourth model costs €25 a month on Starter with annual billing; at Alexandrya.AI, five models start with Professional. During a trial, check which engines name your competitors at all, and skip the rest.
Is weekly tracking enough for a small brand?
Weekly tracking is enough to follow trends over several months but too coarse for a brand that is rarely mentioned. In Alexandrya.AI's own measurement, with 38 prompts on four platforms and 152 answers a day, the visibility score (the share of answers that mention the brand) stood at 0% on ten of twelve days between 14 and 26 October 2026, then at 1% and 2%. A weekly reading would have shown 0, 1 or 2% depending on the day.
On 26 October 2026, 3 of 152 answers named Alexandrya.AI, spread across Google AI Mode, ChatGPT and Gemini. Daily tracking costs seven times as many answers for that: LLMrefs checks 500 prompts weekly, while the €79 to €85 fixed plans check 50 prompts daily. Rankscale and ZipTie allow mixed frequency, so your core prompts run daily and the rest weekly or monthly. On ZipTie's pricing page, 1,000 monthly prompts on all seven engines cost $61.
Why do three markets cost three times as much?
AI visibility tools treat every country as a separate prompt set, because answers are retrieved per language and per country. Tracking 20 prompts in the UK, Germany and France means tracking 60 prompts. Alexandrya.AI and Peec AI both say on their pricing pages that extra markets come out of the prompt allowance at no surcharge. Alexandrya.AI also limits Starter to one country; three countries start with Professional at €199.
Only a measurement shows whether answers to your prompts differ between two countries, so start with one market and add the second once you have seen a difference.
Count delivered answers, not paid ones
The formula assumes complete runs. In Alexandrya.AI's own measurement, one of the daily scans on 23 October 2026 returned 126 answers instead of 152, about 17% fewer. During each trial, check how many answers actually arrive per day and calculate with that number.
Which tool fits 40 prompts in one market or 20 prompts in three?
Scenario A: 40 prompts, one country, three engines, daily, so 3,600 answers a month. Scenario B: 20 prompts in three countries on four engines, daily, so 60 prompts and 7,200 answers.
| Tool and plan | Scenario A: 40 prompts, one country, 3 engines | Scenario B: 20 prompts in three countries, 4 engines |
|---|---|---|
| Alexandrya.AI Starter, €79 | fits, 50 prompts included | does not fit, one country; three countries from Professional at €199 |
| Peec AI Starter, €85 | fits, 50 prompts included | does not fit, 60 prompts needed, 50 included, fourth model costs extra |
| Promptwatch Essential, €85 | fits, 50 prompts included | does not fit, 60 prompts needed, 50 included |
| ZipTie, configured | fits, $34.20 | fits, $66.60 |
| Rankscale Pro, €99 | fits, 3,600 of 4,800 answers | not daily, 7,200 answers needed, 4,800 included |
| LLMrefs, €79 | weekly only | weekly only, 60 of 500 prompts |
| Otterly.AI Lite, €29 | does not fit, 15 prompts | does not fit, 15 prompts |
| HubSpot AEO, €49 | not without buying more, 25 prompts | not without buying more |
Own assessment based on the vendors' pricing pages, checked 26 October 2026. ZipTie prices from its plan builder.
Five tools under €100 cover scenario A. Scenario B leaves only ZipTie with daily checks and LLMrefs with weekly ones. Every fixed-price plan, Alexandrya.AI included, needs the next tier at €199 to €229 for scenario B.

Which features are missing under €100?
Under €100 you get measurement data for one market, usually without reporting connections. Alexandrya.AI and Peec AI keep their API for Enterprise, with Looker Studio from Business at Alexandrya.AI and from Advanced at Peec AI. Promptwatch includes MCP and API on its entry plan; ZipTie charges $10 extra.
No plan includes the work that follows the measurement. 4,500 answers show where you are missing, and someone has to turn that into content, listings and outreach. If you are weighing up tracking without any tool, our comparison of Alexandrya.AI and manual AI tracking runs the numbers.
The figures in this article are correct as of 26 October 2026. Before buying, check two numbers yourself: how many answers the tool delivered in the trial week, and how many of them mention your brand or your competitors. If the second number is zero, change your prompts first. A bigger plan would only measure more zeros.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest AI visibility tool?
Otterly.AI Lite has the lowest list price at €29 a month for 15 prompts on four engines. Per answer, ZipTie is cheapest at under one US cent, and among euro plans Promptwatch Essential leads at 1.42 cents. All figures come from the vendors' pricing pages and reflect prices on 26 October 2026.
How do I calculate the cost per answer of an AI monitoring tool?
Divide the monthly price by prompts times active engines times checks per month. Daily checks mean 30 a month, weekly checks 4.33. For example, €79 for 50 prompts on three engines, checked daily, gives 4,500 answers and 1.76 cents per answer. Add the cost of any extra engines to the price first.
Is weekly AI tracking enough for a small brand?
For trends over several months, yes; for rare mentions, hardly. In Alexandrya.AI's own measurement of 38 prompts on four platforms, the share of answers mentioning the brand was 0% on ten of twelve days in October 2026 and then 1% and 2%. With numbers that small, a weekly reading depends on the day you pick.
Can I track several countries for under €100?
Yes, but only with a small prompt set or less frequent checks, because each country counts as its own prompt set. Twenty prompts in three countries on four engines, checked daily, cost $66.60 on ZipTie. LLMrefs covers more than 50 countries for €79 but checks weekly. Fixed entry plans usually fall short here.
Are there free AI visibility tools?
None of the tools reviewed here has a permanently free plan with daily tracking. AthenaHQ offers a free start with 300 credits. Free trials are available from Alexandrya.AI for seven days without a credit card, ZipTie for seven days with 25 prompts, Profound for seven days with 50 prompts, and from HubSpot, Peec AI and Otterly.AI.
Is manual AI tracking worth it instead of a tool?
For a one-off sample, yes; for ongoing tracking, rarely. Fifty prompts on three engines every day means 150 queries a day that someone has to run, save and analyse. An entry plan takes that work off your hands for €29 to €99 a month. A short manual check is useful to see which prompts name any brands at all.
