What is an MCP server?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT access external data sources. The Alexandrya.AI MCP server gives your assistant the data of your project, so it can answer questions about it directly.

Which AI assistants are supported?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers, for example Claude (desktop, web and Claude Code), ChatGPT or Cursor. The connection uses a URL and a personal access token.

Can the assistant change data or start scans through MCP?

No. Access is read-only. The assistant reads stored metrics, answers, sources and analyses. It does not start scans, does not use up prompts and does not change anything in your project.

Are the numbers the same as in the dashboard?

Yes. The project overview uses the same summary and the same definitions as your dashboard, including citations and sources. So the chat never shows you different values.

Which plans include MCP?
